Ok, so as you know me and Burningnun have a comp on the 30th of this month. Both of us are marginally over our intended weight category (I weighed myself at 75.2kg today at midday in just my boxers). Would it be advisable for me to start cutting weight now? My biggest problem is that i'm already very lean, so it's gonna be difficult to drop fat; and IPF weigh-ins are 2 hours before lifting, so I can't drop THAT much water. Burningnun thinks it's easily doable though, I'm just a little worried.
I'm thinking of dropping some carbs from my meals (sticking only to fruit for carbs and porridge in the morning, + the oats/carbs from the milk in my BSD mass gainer supplement), and perhaps reducing my caloric intake slightly for now. I might even start a food/weight journal.
Then, on the saturday before the competition hit the sauna perhaps, and then not drink anymore sometime in the evening and wait till after the weigh in in the morning (which is between 10 and 11:30, lifting at sometime after 12) to have breakfast (buy 3 sandwhiches, gatorade, protein shake, etc).
