Not quite sure what happened with the ten minutes at the gym... Maybe it was because I'd done a big workout the day before...

That's a great improvement. Re the legs...they're whipcords of power. Ignore jealous comments about spaghetti. But those shorts are a shapeless bag of shite. Get rid of them and show the sex on legs that is the Rilla off properly!

In Strong: The Movie, somebody makes a funny comment when two rugby guys come to train at DeFrancos. Something about rugby guys wearing baggy shirts and tight shorts and Jersey guys doing the opposite. I like shorts that go down to my knees, though lately I'm starting to feel comfy in shorts that are an inch or two above the knee... :o

KB snatch (24kg KB for me)
Burpee

360m run
10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1
Too me around 26 mins.
Was absolutely soaked. We had to go indoors today and ended up in a smallish corridor thing. Very little air! :)

Forgot to add that we finished off with some GHRs as well as some ab stuff. Those GHRs are starting to make their presence known - I expect very heavy DOMS in the morning.

Missed a pop at a 100kg PC, because my technique stinks. Basically all my lifts were troll-lifts, meaning all power, no technique.
Banged out 2x10x90kg on the bench after that, just for kicks.

A few words as the the Crossfit I signed up for is off for a month. The next month there'll be an hour of calisthenics followed by an hour of running twice a week.

While CF is hardly revolutional, there are some good ideas. I'm not a fan of using olympic lifts as cardio, but I'm a huge fan of the more hardcore approach to fitness training. Nothing you can't do with a bit of out of the box thinking at the gym/park/in the garage/wherever.
It basically all boils down to adding some form of GPP to your training regularly which I'm a huge fan of. I'd prefer doing it in a more strongman-like way though. Sledgehammers, bag work, farmer walk, sled dragging, prowler pushing or tyre flipping are all Rilla approved. :)
Group training can have some very good upsides though, if you know the group and everybody's on the same level more or less.
