Competing at 67.5KG

Postby Wardie on Tue Sep 02, 2008 9:15 am

Guys - what sort of weight is lifted unequipped in the 67.5KG category.

I've said before that i'm interested in giving it a go if I sort my back issues out, so i'm just trying to get an idea of the sort of weight that gets moved in that category. I'm 20 so i'm guessing up till 23 that's in the Juniors category?

Had a poke around and cant find junior/unequipped totals Wardie, maybe one of the currently competing lads can.

I know Karlos is planning on competing unequipped so he may know a bit more but hes on hols.

I do know that when i was looking for a fed last year when i was close to competing unequipped is pretty hard to find.

I think quite a few events have unequipped but it's not anywhere near as popular

i wouldn't worry about what others are lifting mate, and to be honest i can't even think of any 67.5kg junior lifters off top of my head. Best just to turn up and put in some PB's :)

I guess, I'd just feel a little silly competing with no one else is my weight class. The experience would probably be useful though.

It wont be for a good while as i've got back issues still, but i'm working on them.

Dont worry about what others are lifting or who else is in your group, there seems to be a good 'fellowship' for PL comps so might be worth just going and having a go regardless :]

There's a 67.5 kg guy at my comp. I think I'm the only junior in my weight class so far.
