Cissus

Postby Wardie on Fri Sep 10, 2010 10:16 am

Morning all

Have any of you guys tried Cissus before? I think Bison has and rated the product a long time ago.

I've been getting pains in my elbow for a while when working out and I thought it was joint pain from too much full body training. I tried dosing up on Glucosamine and Chon but that didn't seem to work. I was on holiday and didn't train for a few weeks and that still hasn't cleared it, so i'm thinking it could be tendon related possibly and was wondering if Cissus might help.

It was previously only when training but sitting at my desk today every so often I get a dull sort of pain.

Yes I realise my body is a disaster! :D

depends mate - but do bear in mind that cissus also CAN mask a problem and on discontuation it can surface again.

In essense, it depends if its regeneration based - ie cartlidge, nerve, superficial damage, etc etc..

It certainly does work for a few things - but wouldnt want you to think its going to fix it all and im sure you know it wont :-)

All I remember about cissus is it tasted bloody horrible.

I was never sure it worked for me, but others seem to swear by it so I guess it depends on what's wrong.

Elbows is nasty when they go wrong especially if it's tendonitis - Golfer or tennis elbow normally - Tendons respond well to ... well bugger all ... as its difficult to get blood flowing through them. Ice (R.I.C.E as always) and anti inflammoatories are what's n ormally prescribed for tendon injuries - Physiotherapy can help there are specific things you can do for tennis & golfers elbow but I can't remeber what. Try something like physioroom.com for some ideas - You could always get a doctors or physios opinion!

The aching has actually gone a little bit since i've started training again after holiday.

If I start to get it again i'll give it a go, it's probably my knee where I notice it most.
