Just to say well done to the big man. To come from having your event dropped from the olympics after athens to getting 3 golds this time around is just awesome. The fact he is a nice guy makes it all the more pleasing.

A mighty fine role model for young sports people making their way in any sport.

Surely the greatest British Olympian of all time now. :D

Did anyone see his races? The man scares me, its the difference in power he has over his competitors, it just isnt right! On a straight he just seems to be able to produce so much more acceleration, it doesnt even look like a struggle for him

his huge strong legs create the power and his massive & again strong upper body fights against the bike swaying from side to side too much with the powerful leg work, thus resulting in fast as feck acceleration.

That's what I think anyway.

Does the swaying of the bike reduce your potential acceleration? I thought it was actually a way to increase power as it sort of allows you to fully extend the driving leg? Suppose its lost time at that level of cycling. Find it deadly to pedal hard when trying to keep the bike fully upright and forward, stupid shitty knees

Swaying bike = wasted energy. To get that sort of leg drive and keep it stable must be pretty tough!
