Ollie, thank you!
I think I will have to decide what I want to do next: concentrating on lifting would mean to try and compete at some point, switching to something else... well, that'd be easier I guess ;)
Craig likes to say that I'm dieting loads of McDonald's and other stuff, so I tend to see the weight loss in terms of sorting out the mess I made in the past...

I will echo this! Very impressive. You've equalled some of my best lifts with only a year of training. I iz a clapping my hands here. Well done, it takes a lot of dedication to stick with it.

Much as I hate to give credit to Craig, he has said repeatedly that consistency pays off and I think you've demonstrated that admirably. Can't wait to see what you'll achieve this year. Image

Thank you!
I really don't know whether I am doing well or not, it's not as if there were so many women weight lifting around so it's hard to compare!
Still, I have managed to get in touch with Louise Fox, and she has promised to get me in touch with other powerlifters so if I haven't done eceptionally well that'll help sorting things out!

I hate it when I have to say that Craig is right...
Still, it is true that he is harsher with himself than with me, so there's very little to argue if youlook at his results!
I don't know what to expect from next year, it really depends on what will happen with my work and everything else...
being in the same place for at least 6 months will allow me to settle down reasonably well, even more if the contract is confirmed afterwards...
and it seems that there's plenty of good gyms in Wolverhampton ;)

Even more rubbish at keeping my journal updated!
Life has been a wee bit busy lately, I have stuffed my face pretty well for a couple of weeks at least, but am now back to normal, and have managed to get back to my pre-wedding weight.
Training has been a bit of an issue but should go back to normal soon.
Next week I'll start working in Wolverhampton, hopefully I'll find a good gym there...
I was in Bradford last week, Craig managed to find me a place with two power racks and loads of big guys that were more than happy to give this girlie girl a spot, so hopefully it'll be the same everywhere :)
Oh and on Friday we should be flooded with new little collies, but I'll keep you updated on that...
So that's all that has been going on in my life recently, I now feel justified to go on writing rubbish and slating Rab :)

PS if anybody is in need of a second hand cat let me know!

I'm sure that Fiona loves your udders in the same way that she loves all your defects and good sides: that's who you are, and for whatever reason that's who she wants to spend her life with.
This post will now self-destroy due to its cavity-inducing properties.

Despite feeling like s*it, and the insane cut today I managed to back squat 90 kg x 2.
I then proceeded to pass out while I was front squatting 55 kg, luckily Craig managed to catch me by the scruff of the neck... :?

uhm...
you see I had this spinning teacher in the background and she was telling her audience when to breathe and when to jump... I guess that I tried to jump while lifting the bar and forgot to breathe because I wasn't told to!

Pingu, my favourite cheerleader!
I survived my first week in Wolverhampton, not as bad as I thought yay!
The gym that Craig has found for me is a proper roidheads place, I doubt that other women have ever been there!
No shiny stuff, only a few dusty spinning bikes and hamster weels, loads of weights and benches.
I am even learning how to use a power rack to heal my poorly deadlifts!
Today I managed to bench 57.5 kg, real chuffed considering that I haven't eaten properly for the whole week, and must have lost quite some weight (yay!).
I was worried I would miss lots of sessions without Yoda to kick my butt, but apparently I have been trained well and drag myself to the gym even after real tough days.
BTW, I am loving my new work, even if it can be extremely stressful, and somebody should switch the heating off FFS!

My life has been a touch complicated lately...
I have this new job in Wolverhampton, the job itself is extremely stressful: 5 minutes consultations, most of which get lost in actually getting the dog/cat/ferret/whatever IN the consultation room.
Of course, because driving 100+ miles return a day is unsafe I have had to rent a room up there (a flat would have been too expensive), and here's the first problem: I have managed to end up with a sodden c*nt who thinks women are inferior beings and can/must be ordered around.
He is also deaf/stupid/fill the blank, and as a result his alarm goes on and on and on for HOURS in a row, usually starting 5 am.
I should move into a new room (hope it'll be a bit better) on wednesday, but as you can imagine the situation has been a constant source of stress, what with the ba*tard entering my room without permission/knocking etc.
Keeping Craig from paying the mo*on a visit and rearrnging his facial traits/internal organs distribution has also been no small feat, the puplets helped loads with that!
The training has of course suffered from this all, suffice to say that I had to drop the gym for 2 full weeks due to a stomach bug (couldn't eat anything at all, lost loads of fat tho :)), and last week I only managed to fit 2 in, and only to assess the damage, thankfully not much apparently.
I'll start everything all over again next week hopefully, although I can already see dark clouds gathering before I move room, and stress at work is, of course, very unpredictable...
I'll manage somehow, and hopefully all this rest will help to increase my miserable bench
