Anyone know where to get them in the UK, thought I'd ask as we have a few PL's here.
Are they even specialist piece of equiptment, or just regular chains and I'mmissing how they attach to a bar?

I got some from Pullum Sports but they weren't cheap tbh - Pullum's is expensive for everything.
I think you can get the attachments and just use any chains - have heard of people getting them from builders / builders merchants - I guesss it depends on how heavy you wnat them to be.
