Basically because the emphasis is on speed, and since I didn't feel particularly good I felt like any more weight would have slowed the bar down and made the session less productive.

I feel good today, I'll go for a 170 kg deadlift. Is that a better attitude?

Cheers guys. Let's hope I can finally get some decent upper body strength to match my deads and squats on Saturday.

You doing them pistol style? or some other way? Also, how deep? Looks tough!
Nice looking workout, some good pulling.

Rear leg on bench, I get to about parallel as depth is limited by hip flexor flexibility in the rear leg (I think). Basically I go as low as I can on this exercise and front squats, which is lower on fronts.

I can barely do a BW pistol, haven't tried for a while. I used to do sets of 5 with 5 kg (which makes it easier), I think I will start them again some time, but for now my schedule is a bit full.

I might be off, but that sounds like a bulgarian split squat?

It might be, I'll look it up.

A Bulgarian split squat on Youtube seems to be done with dumbbells, I do it with the bar on my back in the high bar position. I don't know if this makes any difference.

It would seem so. You'll be Gareth 83's best mate soon and only training 5 sets once a week washed done 50 pints of lager whilst preaching the virtues of a high fat / low carb diet.

The future is bright..

Possibly, I am sorer than usual. I'll take next week's DE days a bit lighter than I did this week, which should give me time to refuel and keep hitting PRs on ME days.

But Cleaver... I actually train... at the gym... with weights. Doesn't that disqualify me from the ultra cool MP crew?

Once NU and fat ghey boy posse get a grip of you it will be all over. They'll make you relaise all this training is a waste of time when you have a good sincere high fat diet.

Well, at least Gareth doesn't like me now. He said in the thread he made whining about reps, that I am "sad."

ME Upper - 19/04/08

Bench press:
20 x 3
20 x 3
50 x 3
60 x 1
82.5 x 0
82.5 x 0
:(

Press:
20 x 5
40 x 8
40 x 6
40 x 4
40 x 5

UH Rows:
20 x 8
50 x 10
50 x 10
50 x 10
50 x 10

Yates rows:
60 x 12
60 x 12

I didn't have a spotter for bench, and the lift off really helps. After some fairly bad pressing I just tried to get my volume in. Bad session overall.

Definately, I don't do any heavy benching without a spotter.
