Lack of updates but not really a lack of training (a lack of good training maybe)

I squatted 150x6, benched 90x7 and today missed a 240 deadlift at the knees since my last update.

midday 26/01/10

Push press:
20 x 8
40 x 5
60 x 2
belt
80 x 1
82.5 x 1
85 x 1
90 x 1
belt off
60 x 5
60 x 5

Incline DBs:

Sweet session. Plan is to basically train whenever I can, hard. Overtrain a bit then have some time off before the meet. Also this means I can have a day off whenever anything remotely interesting or important comes up. I'll probably train again tonight, squat, rows and maybe other stuff.

They're shrugs with a little bit of drive. I need to go heavy because it felt like my shoulders and traps were really weak when I missed the 240.

I'm doing exactly teh same - there is a theory that you shoudl be able to do shrugs with your PB deadlift - I assume with a bit of drive - So doing 220's makes sense - I need to be working up to 220+ too

What the hell, i can't see myself doing shrugs with 310kg. Last time i was doing shrugs i was using 110kg for 12 strict reps.

I'd probably do about 100 or 110 if I did strict reps. You can get a lot of power from the leg drive with a shrug.

03/02/10

Bench:
20 x 8
60 x 5
80 x 3
90 x 7 missed 8 :(
90 x 6 volume PB I think, just
110 x 1 weight PB although I've probably had it in me for a while. No wrist wraps

Afterwards we just dicked around, did some neck work, rear delts and vagina machine.

I had some bad news today. Out of the three exams I did I felt two went OK and one went shit. Got the results back from one of the ones I thought went OK and it turns out I failed. This is bad. On the bright side I passed my labs.
