I'd recommend some HIIT sessions. They are great and only need to last 20-30mins. Maybe once every other week do some running just to get used to it, but tbh when would you ever run non-stop for with your children? You'd stop & start like footballers & rugby players do (as an example). So it's better in that respect to simulate the exercise
