BSD Optimise™ Milk and Whey Complete

Postby Jumping on Mon Oct 06, 2008 12:30 pm

My Velocity diet is now underway and I have now had my first two shakes of this excellent product.

I had a 2 scoop shake of Choc flavour this morning very nice! Have to make sure I use ice cold water as it tastes better. Now I just had my lunch which was 2 scoop shake with Strawberry flavour and this time it was ice cold water out the water cooler at work tasted LOVELY!

For me they taste much better with less water as you can taste the flavours better so I was using 200ml water for 2 scoops and it was sweet! Forgot to say so far I have had no hunger pains and been very satisfied after my lunch & breakfast.

Just another 180 or so shakes to go :)

Are you allowed to mix with milk? Milk would thicken it up so you could use more. Also try putting nesquik in water and the water don't taste like strawberry.

Nah not suppose to use milk.

Not sure if it came across that I didn't like the shakes or not but I do. I found them both great with water as long as I make it cold water. So will stick some bottles in the fridge for home as I don't have a nice water cooler like I do at work.

Will see at 15:00 how Chocolate with flax seeds tastes like might make it with very little water so I can just slam it down in case it tastes like crap.

Damn maybe spoke to soon, I been feeling like throwing up since 8am  . Is starting to go away so hopefully I can manage my shake at 12, need some help with the amount of liquid to put in tho.

Is it better to use more water than little? I feel that the choc taste can be a bit over powering in the sweetness, but not sure if it's better to make it a small shake and just gulp and suppress the gag reflex or if adding more water would make it more easily drinkable and just keep sipping it over a longer period?

I'm gonna try the extra water at my lunch shake but was hoping that you seasoned shakers can help me get my mix right.

Also does any of you have any ideas on flavours I can add to the shakes (have strawberry&choc).

Thanks guys!

I always use more water and never have flavours as I don't like them.

I'm finally starting to feel "normal" again..I will use a lot more water in my lunch shake and sip it over a longer period.

Scott I really have to watch the calories as I have a set amount of calories/shake. Once I'm over this V-diet I will add some stuff cause no doubt I will be pretty sick of pure shakes.

Thanks

Liquid food all day long will take time to adjust to. Makes me feel sick when I have to neck an MRP at work. I say definately more water and shake for longer. Try to not gulp it down in one, take it a little slower. Depending on he ammount of whey you are using, these shakes are a small/medium meal that are being delivered a hell of a lot quicker.

I've now had my lunch shake (2 scoop Strawberry) and I feel fine a bit queasy but that's since this morning. This time I added a bit more water and kept sipping it down in small gulps, took me about 40m to get it all drunk and man I was getting so full near the end I was struggling to get it all down.

So slow drinking is defo the right way, how ever this will cause a bit of shake stack problem tonight, as my normal dinner shake is 18:00 I will get it and my PWO shake virtually at the same time.
