What do you have at the moment?

I get up as late as I possibly can to be at work for 8am, so it's a boring mixture of oats, whey and creatine in my shaker for me.

I'll always have eggs without fail when possible, otherwise I'll sub these for mpc.

I have oats mixed in with fruit smoothies instead of porridge if I'm short on time. Home made flapjacks is a good one as are oat cakes with a little peanut butter.

Whey is always upon waking.

Do you combine fats and carbs throughout the day? I'm not overly anal about it but I deliberately try to eat P+C or P+F meals exclusively?

All the time mate. It's not something I've ever felt effected by and so never been picky about.

How many kcals do you aim for each day btw Alex? Or do you not think too much about it and let your ridiculous genetics take care of it all for you? :)

Exactly, I've never counted calories.

I get my protein in take about right and the rest just kind of follows with it.

Ironically I've found the less fussy I get about the finer details in terms of counting caloires the better my physique becomes.

I have 5-6 eggs scrambled. Sometimes I throw in some grated cheddar cheese and/or some chicken. Lately I've been adding some carbs too, most pften a piece of fruit, but oats are also in my bag of tricks. Oh and I have a couple of scoops of whey more or less every day.

this is the best breaky I've seen on this thread so far.

Tomorrow I'll have two homemade burgers, with 1 soft boiled egg. Prob some prorridge made with creamed coconut milk.

So, eat some red meat in the morning. Then add some berries or grapes &/or nuts. That lot will wake you up

Sometimes I just bung whey in porridge with sultanas and get some fruit juice down.

Usually I have Poridge with 7 eggs(2 yolks) scambled or I'll sub out the porridge and have 2 slices of wholemeal toast but always with ketchup :P

If I'm really bored of oats, I'll have a bowl of kelloggs crunchy nut with my eggs. I like all this bacon some guys are on though - I might have to incorporate that once a week or so cos I like the fatty stuff - but keep yer smokey.

Another one I like is oats in l/f yoghurt with dried fruit, seeds n nuts - with honey or syrup.

Chicken? NFW! nor chops, steak, burgers? - wierdos. I like breakfast to be breakfast - not lunch or dinner but that's just me.

WHAT ABOUT KIPPERS??? just a thought - bet they're wrong in a million ways but so tasty.

it's called "real man food" :P

It's the kind of food our bodies are designed to eat. Not all this, admittedly nice, sweet & sugary (and salty) food like 99.9% of cereals & bread.

The first thing you put in your mouth (food wise!) in the morning sets your neurotransmitters up for the rest of the day. So, wtf does that mean then!? Well, think of it like this: you eat something like a steak, then your body will be revved up rearing to go as it just got pretty much the perfect start; very anabolic protein with some good B vits etc. You gulp down some sh!tty cereal like cornflakes or summit, then body hasn't a clue wtf that is. Blood sugar gets raised too high due to sugar. Not good. Our bodies have not evolved in the past 100yrs or so to know wtf breakfast cereals are.

Same with having fruit before anything else in the morning.

And imo the same applies to whey. Sure, have some whey with breakfast, but have a bite or two of some real food (meat ideally) first.

Eggs are good but they don't last too long in your stomach; processed rather quickly you see. Add with steak etc and brilliant.

So as Alex intimated, a steak with eggs is about as good as it gets. And then you can vary the meats. Shame this country doesn't have buffalo meat. Venison is good btw.
