bold and underlined text

On some forums, I can use ctrl + b to make text bold, and ctrl + u to underline text, but on this one ctrl + b brings up bookmarks and ctrl + u brings up the page source.

Would it be possible to make these shortcuts work? It would be quite useful for my journal.

I use Firefox by the way.

interesting how the forum does that cos it makes sense to me that such keyboard commands would initiate the browsers shortcut keys as you noted.

Just get used to typing [b] etc
