Comment

Training back with Alex.

First time doing deads in months, so technique a bit poor, but this is an exercise I've decided to conquer so watch this space for some good gains in weight.

The Iso rows at 165kg were a PB and as I had a massive back sesh on Saturday, I was pleased with tonight.

The fst stuff, is great fun as well - recommended to all.

Strong throughout I thought.

Ring Pulldowns impressed me as these are completely new for you.

I'm not a fan of deads as I have short legs and a long trunk and I just don't get on with them, but I will perservere and get to a good level.

Yes that wouldn't help, I'm relatively long limbed so things like bench and squat require that little bit more ROM, deads I just love how your whole body screams when doing them.

Good to see you doing deads again Simon. Any chance of you squatting this year?

None. My knees are effed completely and as you may remember, I couldn't walk for over two months the year before last following an accident, so no wish to repeat that!

What I may do is front squats and more lunges and such like.

I do vaguely remember Si, was it some ligament problem with your knees?

Yeah fronts might be a bit more forgiving, a good set of knee sleeves would probably help too.

I do leg presses, but not training legs during the rugby season mate as my legs don't recover very well and I'm trying not to aggrevate my achilles injury. It's a bugger getting old!
