Big Dave Talbot - dead

Postby Gym-pig on Tue Oct 12, 2010 8:03 pm

One of the Bodybuilders some of us saw in Nottingham this weekend Dave Talbot has died of a heart attack .

Pretty shocking , he was one of the BB I had seen in The Beef and was glad to see there .

I remember talking to rilla about one Bb who looked slow and lethargic and I have a feeling it was him

RIP

Saw this on UK Earlier. Shocking.

Just goes to show how dangerous this can be and people should take care of themselves

From what I've read, he started having blood shot eyes 2 weeks from the show and didn't want to go to the doctor (probably was affraid of not going to the show). Tha can be a sign of very high blood pressure. All the stress from the show, the poses and the feeding after the show must have been the final drop on his heart.

Very sad, still it serves as a warning to people.
All that I say is hypothetically speaking and I do not condone the use of illegal substances. You should also eat your vegetables and use high SPF sunscreen

does pain to see why people didnt shake him by the cuff and tell him to get to the Drs. the red in the outside of the eyes in that pic says it all....just zoom in

Seriously, people need to start looking out for each other in this game...more forcefully. being in a coffin is not worth a trophy.....sad loss.

I was thinking that last night.

You'd think at the Brit finals there could be a Doctor on hand to and least look at people....

Perhaps a doctor or nurse at hand for the weigh in to have a quick word and look at competitors? Honestly..one look at him and you knew he wasnt right.

Bloody shame but i can understand how nomatter what anybody would have told him he was gonan do the show. He has probably put donkeys eyars into it and being in that condition above felt it was maybe his chance at a good place - which he got.

A guy in my new gym works for the coroner and he said to me this morning that the post mortem has revealed that Daves liver weighed in at 22lbs! Dunno if hes exaggerated that but it makes you wonder at the state of his internal organs. Apparently a few guys that knew Dave said he wasnt feeling right and told him to pull out but he refused as he wanted to compete so bad.
