Anyone use a prowler

Postby Craig on Tue Jan 11, 2011 10:11 am

So yes it does sound like some old dude driving round the red light zone looking for 20 quid whores, but I've got one of these babies on order

just wondering if anyone here uses one and their thoughts on it.

The upright poles don't look long enough imo.

I think these pieces of equipment are amazing. If you've never used them you have no idea just how good and evil they are. From killer conditioning sessions to rehab work to restoration work they do it all.

Good luck & enjoy.

1m

Both mine (homemade) and another one I've used are 1m. The longer length simply allows for greater variations in pushing angels. Also, the longer uprights are nicer for taller people... since the horizontal low handles are killers for anyone. Mine are shiny stainless steel ones; almost the same size as scaffolding poles.

It'll still work though, but imo better with 1m long uprights.

The sprint group I train with have this exact one and it is great! You are really going to get a lot out of it. Be prepared for aching hip flexors!

Higher vertical handles make for a bigger difference between the two options. It'll still kill you good, so no worries. :)
