So, new year.. New log, this time though I want a bigger deadlift.

At my last comp I got 167.5 which felt like I possibly could of gotten 170.

Thanks to Burningnun (who I didnt realise at the time) record it for me for you all to see :)

I've deducted that I have weak hams and glutes (if you think otherwise, do tell and i'll work more on that as well), so my new program has lots of ham and glute work :)

Its currently on my laptop so when im on it i'll post it up.


I thought i'd have a go with my bench shirt in todays session, but ended up not lol

Friday - Assistance

Shirt Bench- 60x2 3brd, 100x2 3brd
(was extremely painful so stopped, it was chocking me as well, gonna try again next week)
GHR (kinda)- bw x10, bw x10, bw x8, bw x8, bw x5, bw x5
(lol kinda.. i will av to make one, as a make shift one dont work)
SLDL D-OH Grip- 100x5, 100x5, 100x5, 100x5, 100x5, 100x5
(Felt gurd, hips were poping through with force of a THOUSAND GODS!! (sucks to be my girlfriend lol))
Decline DB Bench- 20x10, 30x8, 30x8, 30x8
Side Raises- 10x10, 10x10, 10x10
DB Shrug- 30x10
Cable Row (95kg or 95lb, im not sure)- whole stack x10, whole stack x10, whole stack x10, whole stack x10
(these were with perfect form, im gonna have to try and add weight or start doing single hand)
PushDowns- 60lb/kg x10, 60lb/kg x10, 60lb/kg x10, 60lb/kg x10, 60lb/kg x10
Hammer Curls- 17.5x5, 17.5x10
If you're not sure if you're getting quality sleep or not, this is your standard: You should always wake up under a teepee. If you don't have a boner so solid you have to do a handstand to take a morning piss, your Testosterone levels are probably low.

Oh man I thought you were gonna snap your neck off when you lifted? You really hyper-extended it. Just be mindful that this could lead to a nasty neck injury.

Just wear a belt to keep the shirt in place mate,but don't start pulling the shirt down to much yet untill you know how to use the shirt.

yeh have to say the form was terrible, still got weight i guess and thats what counts but you should probably sort that out

I'm no expert on dead lifts, but that was shocking. No idea why you have a belt with such a light weight as well, but heyho, what do I know?!

Its all relative mr simon.

Right about your form though, lower hips, back straighter (stretch - hip flexors, calfs, glutes, hams), push (legs) & pull (hips/back) more evenly and as h4ni pointed out, don't try to snap your own neck. :)
