Aminos

Postby Alex on Sun May 03, 2009 12:03 pm

A couple of thoughts...

Firstly I'm thinking of mixing up a load into a big tub in a 2:2:1 ratio of EAA:BCAA:Leucine to give a 4:1:1 of BCAA:Leucine and the mix of EAA and BCAA together would be quite optimal over picking one the other at different times.

Other thought is adding them in just after waking either instead of, or in addition to whey. As this is the first nutrition to hit the stomach I don't think whey will particually hinder the absorbtion of Aminos so I'm thinking 10g Aminos and 1 scoop of whey along with ancillaries would work.

Alex

That is what Ive done. All in a tub and then i weigh one red scoop and work from there. Faster, easier and done and dusted. I just mixed up one month at a time so around pre and post its just easier.

With whey I am using 9-12g EAA with 30-40g Whey.

Are you using Aminos with every shake then to get your 50g daily?

3 of them during the day.

Morning, Pre Workout and Before Bed - in that one its 9-12g EAA.

Pre and Post - I am using EAA/BCAA/Whey/Gatorade

All going well so far.

Annoying that they work so well on negating DOMS - i do like that pain the following day but hey ho.

Hmmm, I like not having the DOM's as it doesn't hinder cardio.

You should trial mixing in some citrus flavour systems into that.

True - but you still got the issue of floating and fluffy powder which the flavour wont get to as its too much - and if you put more flavour it tastes sickly. Need a binder but then itll slow down release.

I think Galt mixes it with squash ?

I do as well but it's surprising how quick you can go through it.
