I've been to the Challenge Cup Final when Leeds steam rollered London Broncos, despite the loss it was still a great day. I'm a big fans of League and it's such a shame the sport is dying in this country

It is dying as a professional sport, no one wants it outside of the heartlands despite the great work London has done in schools etc. What needs to happen is for BBC or ITV to show 1 live game per week which would grow the game outside of the M62. If that happens, the the game will florish, but at the moment it's not doing anywhere near as well as Club Rugby Union and internations are a joke

Agree re the BBC pal . Sky have totally taken over the sport and you now get at least 2 games a week .
The league - union arguement is an old one but yes Union is more popular . I personally find it an inferior game at amateur level and always preferred to play league . At club level union is a good game

I dont you should even mention internationals after the lack of skill Martin Johnson has put on display !

It kinda feels like Sky has killed most popular sports by muscling out the BBC/ITV from the market via big bucks

Not sure how many people have the full sports packages with satelite TV but i dont as itstoo expensive. When i was a kid though most of the sport was shown on terestrial TV.

I think Boxing has been the worst victim . Only a small number of people will know who David Haye is/was and yet millions will have been watching Bruno fight on the BBC
Also with the rise of MMA they are seriously suffering on all but the huge fights
