I've read a fair bit recently about how many top Powerlifters actually don't deadlift 3-4 weeks out fro a comp. Seems like it works well. I personally have found that when I don't dl for a while then do the session is great and I tend to lift more than expected. Just a thought.
wrt collarbone: prob some damage to the soft tissue around the area. There are quite a few small muscular attachments to the collarbone. Maybe a slight tendon strain.
