That's not half bad at all Ashy.
Looks like you owned the weight pretty good, but then again, it was ONLY 50kg. :D

Strong work indeed - I'll have to get a video up soon. :)

That was his left testicle getting caught on the chain.

Nice chins young Ash :)

I'm being slightly pedantic, yes, but i like to full stretch at the bottom. Just an observation. :geek:

I like the way you rub the chalk together trying to hit a subtle "most muscular" pose just before the life.

Poser

Good lifting. You had more in you there!

Did you invade an aerobics class given the step and music?

Excellent work Ash.

Nah, not quite. But I don't think it really matters unless you were doing a competition. I also like to go to "arms being pulled out of sockets range".

I'm building up to a week of PB attempts as I'm due for a deload week in about 2 weeks time. I haven't attempted 1RM on chins for a very long time, so I'll shall try to see if I can keep up with you & Rillacakes.

I always try to go full range, though make a point out of not going to that point. I believe in keeping my shoulders as tight as possible when they're being punished by 145kg... :)

lol im feeling the love :D

Health and karlos- Due to my insanely bad flexiblity there pretty much far down as i can go, if i change my grip to over hand though i can go lower for some reason.... Definetly enough range of motion to call it 'proper' reps though, i personally call those "full reps" and your kind of ones hyperextension. SO you guys are doing 110% full reps lol

p.s rilla, i agree with you totally, i always keep tension in shoulders.

@Ash & Rilla: sure. And I wonder whether going to 95-99% rather than 100% is better for you? Like you suggest.

Whatever, 50kgx2 takes some decent strength.

I think the range of motion was fine... not total but not that far off.

I also agree on the comments about protecting the shoulders... full range shoulder socket wrenching reps are fine but not so safe when with added weight. I like the full range but get twinges in my rear delts and around the shoulder with more than 10kg on the belt.

52.5kg, bitch!

Yea, I do think there's a huge difference between letting your arms fall out of their sockets and keeping everything tight. I think I go a bit deeper than Ash, but will have to get a vid to see for sure.
