180kgx3 squats for you. Had a bit of a mare putting it back on the rack! No belt or anything else - bar sweat and tears

Yeah I'm a bit wary of going too deep with those crappy L-Brackets just in case I do fail - I'd feel more confident on a power rack. At least I get to parallel unlike a lot of other people at the gym! Sorry about the angle :oops:

Cheers Scott. I was proper dead it was sheer will and determination that made me push that little more! I'm trying to get up to 200kg, and I will do it, but slowly but surely. I think it looks easier than it was - or maybe I'm just putting myself down :oops: I did have a huge leg session today so I guess I did have quite a bit more in the tank as you say!

IMO it looks like you need to go a fair bit deeper to hit paralell (hip crease in line with knee), the reps looked very fuckin easy though, looked like you could of got like 20 lol.

Yup, I always think parallel is best if you aim to get the hip just below the knee. That will definitely pass in a lifting comp (right?).

Fair comments, I could have gone lower, I set the L-Brackets to be so that I was below parallel, and I didn't quite touch them I admit - the angle doesn't help, but yes definitely should have and could have gone lower but it's so hard to judge on that shitty rack thing they've got. Still reasonably happy - will try that weight after less sets next time and see how I get on, maybe put the brackets 1 notch lower.

I think you are brave man going for those squats with that less than secure set up. Be really cool to see what you could do with access to a proper power rack.

Good lifting Will, even if you were an inch shy of parallel, you still got good depth. You made it look like easy weight.
